Visa Application Form
One application form duly completed, printed, and signed by the applicant. Parents or legal guardians must sign on behalf of minors.
Valid Passport
Must be valid 3 months beyond your intended date of departure from Romania; must have been issued within the last 10 years; must contain at least 2 blank pages.
Passport Photos
Two recent (6 months maximum), color photos taken against a plain white background.
Travel Medical Insurance
The policy must cover the entire period of intended stay and be valid throughout the entire territory of Romania. Minimum coverage of €30,000 is required for medical emergencies and repatriation costs.
Proof of Travel (Itinerary)
Confirmed round-trip flight reservations and a detailed day-by-day travel plan covering all destinations within Romania, including any onward travel bookings.
Proof of Accommodation
Firm reservation at a tourist accommodation unit (e.g., paid hotel bookings). If staying with a host, a notarized Invitation Letter (ZAPOSLENIE) or formal proof of sponsorship from the host is required.
Proof of Financial Means
Original bank statements (for the last 3-6 months, signed and stamped by the bank) proving sufficient funds. The required minimum is €50 per person per day for the entire period of stay, but not less than €500 in total. This requirement is waived if the applicant proves the full payment in advance of tourism service packages (accommodation and meals).
Proof of Employment / Ties to Home Country
A signed letter from your employer (on company letterhead, stating position, salary, and approved leave dates) or business registration documents if self-employed. For students, a recent certificate of enrolment is required.
Proof of Legal Residence (If Applicable)
Valid residence permit in your current country of residence (if you are not a national); this permit must be valid 3 months beyond your intended departure from Romania.
Documents for Minors (Under 18)
Original Birth Certificate, a notarized Parental Consent letter from the non-travelling parent(s), and copies of both parents’ passports or IDs.
